Lets get started with Clothing!
The first and the foremost on top is the Bodysuit /Vest/Onesies what ever you want to call it.it has to be really soft because it come in direct contact with you baby's skin.Than you can layer it up with full sleeve Onesie or a full sleeve bodysuit. Baby's are born with sharp nails so better if you have some better embedment so they don't scratch themselves. I prefer to one which has center opening
because it is easy to put on and put off.
Than you would need 2-3 baby's Cap, some Bibs [the Velcro or bottom one is easy to use] if you don't get that you can go for the one which is tied at the end.
Than you would need 2-3 pairs of mittens ,2-3 pair of baby socks, and whether an appropriate jacket or a sweater. This is just to keep you baby warm.
If you are going for a clothe nappy's in that case onesies are not going to work than you can go for a two piece outfit which has a top and the bottom this will help you change easily when the baby pees and poops.
DIAPERING-Exact need for it

For that you can either select from the clothe diaper or the disposable one but whatever you select you have to have a lot of them
Than you need a changing mat, a quick dry sheet (this sheet doesn't let the liquid seek through and it dries pretty fast.Then you would need a baby wipes, if you don't want to go for baby wipes than you can always go for the traditional method of using warm water along with the cotton clothe or cotton.
Its always better to use a diaper rash cream in order to prevent you baby from getting rashes.

The next category which I'm gonna writeup is bathing and hygiene....
For massaging I'm using the mix of coconut and almond oil or you can use a body massage oil. And for bathing I'm using the baby bath tub it has an in front insert in between.The next thing you need is a baby soap and the baby shampoo.You can use the cotton towel for the new born baby. I keep two towels for my baby because I wash them regularly and incase one is in the laundry I can use the other one. also I keep a couple of wash clothes to wipe the face.
You can buy a baby grooming kit or can create on your own for that you would need a nail clipper ,scissor ,nail filler ,baby tooth brush ,nasal exfoliator , baby brush and baby comb. while using a nasal exfoliator you have to be very gentle.
Always keep a thermometer handy in order to check your baby's temperature. Be very careful while using the nail clipper and the scissor.
I use gentle body lotion for my baby's skin. Its not always recommended to use a baby powder as some baby's are allergic to it.so you have to be very careful while using this.
Another go to have item is baby laundry detergent to wash their clothes.

For baby's proper growth nothing is better than mother's milk. Some mothers have excess flow of milk so in order to save yourself from accidental stain you can make use of breast pads of any brand.
Incase you are bottle feeding your baby than you would require a couple of bottles depending on your need again you can go for any brand which is comfortable for your baby. you should regularly sterilize those bottles so that you baby doesn't get infected. you can either use the electric or the microwave sterilizer. if you don't want to use the sterilizer you can boil the bottle in the hot water to sterilize them.
A flask come very handy if you are formula feeding your baby to keep lukewarm water.
you can use a dispenser to store the formula (infant milk powder) it is very useful by travelling as you no need to carry the formula packs.
SLEEPING-the foremost and least

The last category is sleeping...
For that you need to decide whether your baby is gonna go sleep with you in the bed or you gonna get a bassinet or a crib. If your baby is gonna go sleep with you than you can go for baby bedding.
you would need different kinds of pillows at different stages of your baby's growth in order to support and shape their head.
Next item you might need is the swaddling blanket . you can also use either a muslin cloth or a cotton dupatta for the same. If you don't know how to swaddle you baby using these than you can go for a ready made swaddle.
you would also need a couple of appropriate blanket for covering your baby .
